Where It All Began
A Workshop in a Family Pub
Emerald Bar Decor wasn’t built in a boardroom. It was built in a workshop tucked behind a family-owned pub in Kinvara, Co. Galway — a space filled with original timber beams, stone walls and decades of bar memorabilia gathered by two grandfathers who spent their lives in the Irish beverage industry.
During COVID, while working from home, the founders spotted a growing demand for premium, personalised home décor — particularly anything connected to Irish pub culture. Word of mouth spread quickly, and what began as restorations for friends became a full business within two years.
Today, every product is still designed and built by hand in that same Kinvara workshop. Each piece carries the character of its origin — authentic, durable and unmistakably Irish.

James Burns
Co-Founder · Operations & Production
James manages the day-to-day production side of Emerald Bar Decor — from sourcing materials to quality control and order fulfilment. A natural craftsman with a keen eye for detail, James ensures every product that leaves the workshop meets the brand’s exacting standards.
